Ammonite which means coiled horn, was an air breathing invertebrate, It looked like an ancestor of the squid except it's body was protected by a coiled, chambered shell. The iridescent colours are caused by the interference with the light that reflected back from the thin layers of aragonite and conchiolin. It's considered to be a protective mineral, providing stability and structure to one's aura.
This specimen measures 4.2 cm x 3.4 cm x 1.2 cm.
