Native to the central and northern parts of the North America, wild cherry bark, or Prunus serotina, has long been known by Native Americans as a potent medicinal plant.

The blooms in early spring are representative of love and lust. Any part of the cherry tree, not just the bark, can be used in magical spells.  The most common use of the bark is in loose incense or offering herbs for love spells, protection, and to gain favor or barter with land spirits. Many believe that wild cherry will add potency to their spells.
