While chalcedony is often used as a general term to describe microcrystalline quartz, in a strict sense chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of silica, composed of very fine inter-growths of quartz and moganite. Chalcedony has a waxy luster and may be semitransparent or translucent.
Blue Chalcedony is a nurturing stone and it absorbs negative energy. It brings the mind, body, emotions and spirit into harmony. Chalcedony instills feelings of compassion, forgiveness, generosity and helps promote peaceful resolution to conflicts.
Each of these unique formations measures approximately 3 cm - 5 cm x 5 cm to 7 cm. Each varies slightly.
