Healing Smoke Incense
This beautiful incense contains white sage, palo santo and sweetgrass: together they give a pleasantly relaxing scent. White sage has a strong scent, but is balanced by palo santo and sweetgrass. The advantage of incense sticks is that the burning time is a lot longer than that of loose herbs. In addition, chopsticks are more practical to use.

Each pack contains 12 incense sticks (15 grams). Burning time is approximately 45 to 60 minutes per stick.
Incense is a cleansing ritual dating back to the Native American people, where herbs or tree barks are burned and a fragrant smoke is created to cleanse the person or space. This ritual was used to cleanse or purify yourself or the space from bad spirits or negative vibrations. Sage, a plant of the lip flower family, has been used by Native Americans for centuries for purification ceremonies and healing sessions.
If you want to perform a smoke cleansing ritual at home, start at the top of your house. From there you work your way down. Open windows and doors during smudging: this way all negative energy and tension can disappear from your home. In addition, it is important to ventilate well when you burn incense. Place the sticks in a good incense holder to catch the ashes.
Cedar is warming, calming, soothing and grounding. Strengthens self-esteem.
Lemongrass is purifying, detoxifying, mood-enhancing and anti-inflammatory. Put yourself in your own power and help you out of your fear.

Note: Although this brand of incense is called "Healing Smudge Incense", we prefer to call it Healing Smoke Incense, because we understand that "smudging" is a closed practice belonging to First Nations peoples. We ourselves are not First Nations. We want to always show respect to our First peoples of Canada and beyond. The company, Green Tree, named this incense. We carry it as it's a beautiful blend that smells amazing, but we sure do wish they'd call it something else.
