Abalone Shell From South Africa
Beautiful iridescent mother of pearl

hues of blue green within the surface of the South African abalone
The South African abalone occupies a one piece shell and belongs to the large Haliotis family which has in excess of 100 species. Most are edible rock dwelling shells found in both shallow and deeper waters.
It also makes a rather lovely soap dish; it even has its own natural drainage holes.
