It's October 31st, Blessed Samhain!

While it's always a good time to honour our ancestors, it is believed by many that this time of year is when the veil between our world and those beyond the veil is at its thinnest. Communication with those on the other side is much more likely at this time.

If you haven't yet set up an altar, no worries. It doesn't have to be elaborate to be meaningful. What matters most is what's in your heart. A simple candle will do.

Some people place photos and items belonging to their loved ones who've passed on an altar, light a candle for them, offer them treats and include them in the festivities. It's a great time to reminisce and share stories of our loved ones, while making new cherished memories.

Samhain is a time to be thankful that we're still here and able to enjoy our earthly delights, while also becoming more aware and accepting of our own mortality. It's a time to recognize and accept death as part of the natural order of things, but to also celebrate the lives we have.

Blessed Be. )O( -Tara & Peter
