Turquoise, Peruvian, Tumbled
Peruvian Turquoise is the trade name given to rare and brightly coloured
aqua Chrysocolla. Peruvians have been wearing this beautiful ornamental
stone since ancient times. Chrysocolla is a mineral of secondary
origin, commonly associated with other secondary copper minerals. It is
typically found as botryoidal or rounded masses and crusts, or vein
fillings. This opaque and brittle mineral contains hues of aqua blue,
green and turquoise.
As a healing stone it is gentle, soothing
and alleviates tension. Excellent for the heart centre to allow
flexibility, self-forgiveness, peace and patience. Also for the throat
centre, to express feelings and verbal/artistic creativity.
