Natural Marcasite Slice
Totally unaltered, natural Marcasite slices. According to many beliefs, marcasite is a talisman associated with wisdom, courage and expression. Metaphysical properties of marcasite also suggest it is a stone that inspires creativity when it comes to the arts and architecture.
The mineral marcasite, sometimes called "white iron pyrite", is iron sulfide with orthorhombic crystal structure. It is physically and crystallographically distinct from pyrite, which is iron sulfide with cubic crystal structure.
After holding these pieces, you may notice a metallic scent. This is due to the iron content of this specimen.

Each slice measures approximately 5 cm to 7.5 cm x 3.5 to 5 cm x 0.5 cm thick. Each piece is totally unique.
