Alien Amethyst - Specimen A

A fairly rare and eye-catching variety of amethyst, “Alien Amethyst” is known for its otherworldly look. These pieces feature deep purple amethyst with natural caps of red to golden hematite, creating striking, layered formations. This specimen comes from India, and was sourced through the Tucson Gem Show. 

Despite the name, it’s not from outer space - the “alien” refers to its unusual, almost surreal appearance.
