Harmonizers are a pair of polished cylinders traditionally held, one in each hand, during meditation, grounding, or quiet reflection. Many people use them to encourage a sense of balance and focus, particularly after busy days, stressful situations, or spending time in crowded environments. They are often incorporated into energy work and mindfulness practices to help create a calming, centered experience.
This harmonizer set combines two popular stones - Selenite and Shungite - whose contrasting energies are believed to complement one another.
Shungite
Shungite is a black, lustrous, carbon-rich mineraloid found primarily in the Shun'ga region of Karelia, Russia. It has been studied for its naturally occurring antibacterial properties and has been used in water filtration for centuries.
In crystal healing traditions, Shungite is known as the Stone of Life. It is believed to offer grounding, protection, and energetic cleansing. Many people use it to help shield against unwanted environmental energies, including those associated with electronic devices such as computers and cell phones.
Selenite (Satin Spar)
Despite its common name, Selenite contains no significant selenium. The material used for these harmonizers is Satin Spar, a silky, fibrous variety of gypsum that is widely referred to as selenite. Other forms of gypsum include alabaster, desert rose, gypsum flower, and ram's horn.
In metaphysical traditions, Selenite is prized for its gentle, calming energy. It is believed to promote mental clarity, inner peace, and spiritual awareness. Many crystal enthusiasts also consider Selenite to be self-cleansing and use it to energetically cleanse and recharge other crystals.
