Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz crystal composed of silicon dioxide with traces of iron. In ancient times amethyst was thought to reduce the effects of too much alcohol because of its similarity in color to red wine. It is thought to dispel negativity and create a peaceful environment.

Hand crafted in Brazil. Each unique crystal point is delicately wrapped in fine wire.
