Tarot Cards
The Tarot is more than a simple pack of cards. The pack itself comprises 78 cards which combine to form the 'Arcana' - symbolic representations of ancient wisdom. Twenty two of these are the 'Major Arcana'. The 56 'Minor' cards are split into the four elemental suits of Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
The Major Arcana are profoundly symbolic and each card offers endless opportunities for study and interpretation on many levels. Each card represents a different part of life. Combined, they represent a complete view of the Universe.
The 22 Major Arcana Tarot cards have the same number of letters in the Hebrew alphabet and the same number of paths on the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is one representation of the secrets of divine truth and is part of the Kabbalah.
A Tarot reading should not be regarded as a prediction of what will be, but as a reflection of the opportunities that are opening up for you and the influences and challenges that you may face. As with all It is for you to decide on your own path and create your own future.
Oracle Cards
How do you use these cards? Pretty much like you would use a tarot deck. You decide on a layout–one card, yes/no, three cards, crosses or lines, etc, and phrase a question. Shuffle how you wish and then lay out or pull the cards.
Because oracle cards don’t have number, elemental, or suit references to help read them, the reader is forced to be more intuitive in order to gain insight into an answer. Oracle decks come in all different themes. A lot of them feature angels, fairies, mythological creatures, mermaids, etc.
Pendulums
Hold the pendulum between your thumb and index finger with your elbow slightly bent at your side. Use the hand that feels most comfortable for you. Relax! It is important to let the natural vibrations of your own body move through your hand to the pendulum. The pendulum works like muscle-testing or kinesiology: your sub-conscious knows what you need to know. The pendulum will show you the answer by picking up and amplifying the subtle vibrations from your sub-conscious, causing the pendulum to swing! You can ask any question to get a YES or NO answer.
RUNES
Runes are an ancient Germanic alphabet, used for writing, divination and magick. They were used throughout northern Europe, Scandinavia, the British Isles, and Iceland from about 100 B.C.E. to 1600 C.E. Runic inscriptions of great age have even been found in North America, supporting stories that the Vikings arrived in the Americas long before Columbus.
Runes are an oracle from which one seeks advice. They work best if you detail your current circumstances and then ask a specific question. Rune readings are sometimes obscure. They hint toward answers, but you have to figure out the details.
Runic divination or "rune casting" is not "fortunetelling" in the sense that one actually sees the future. Instead, runes give one a means of analyzing the path that one is on and a likely outcome. The future is not fixed. It changes with everything one does. If one does not like the prediction, one can always change paths.
Since ancient times, runes have been used for divination and magic, in addition to writing. The word "rune" actually means mystery, secret or whisper. Each rune has esoteric meanings and properties associated with it, beyond its mundane meaning and phonetic value.
A set of Runes usually includes 25 pieces. One would reach into the pouch, grab a few runes, and cast. Most runes come with instructions on use, and we also sell books on the topic.
