A Prayer Bowl, dish or plate - is a sacred vessel in which to place your most sacred meditation tools (ie: your prayer mala, crystals, etc...).  You can also place a small offering of food, flowers, stones,etc... to your chosen Diety.  Many people will write a wish or prayer on a piece of paper and place it in their prayer bowl.
